100 engineering jobs on offer to young apprentices

ENGINEERING firms are set to advertise more than 100 jobs for young people in apprentice exhibitions next week.

Run by Hull training group Heta, the open days will feature major employers including BP Chemicals and RB.

Up to 300 hopefuls are expected to attend.

All applicants have already passed Heta’s own internal tests and will now be seeking sponsorship to complete its courses.
Business Development and marketing manager James McIntosh said: “The Heta company open days are fantastic events that showcase the scope of opportunities available in the Humber Region for engineering apprenticeships.

“It is brilliant to see the number of companies across so many different areas of industry all attending to advertise job vacancies.

“We will continue to work with companies who are looking to recruit an engineering apprentice, to help them bridge the skills gap and succession plan their workforce for the future.”

Successful students will be trained by Heta before starting work for their chosen employer.
